Our History: From a Local Memphis Feed Store to Your Neighborhood Pet Expert

In the 1950s, Hollywood Feed opened our first pet supply store on the corner of Hollywood Street and Chelsea Avenue in Memphis, Tennessee. Over the next few decades, Hollywood Feed became the trusted local destination for quality pet food, good advice, and friendly service.

In 2006, my family, along with some fellow pet lovers, purchased the three original Hollywood Feed stores in Memphis, TN. We shared a singular vision: to better the lives of pets through our small business. That sparked a journey to provide the highest quality products and the absolute best customer service to pet parents across our communities. Today, Hollywood Feed continues this deep commitment to helping pets and people by offering our four-legged friends premium pet foods, USA-made treats, toys, beds, and more.

Because we only carry products that our team would feed their own animals, we ensure our staff is uniquely qualified to guide you. In fact, we feed our own team's pets the very products on our shelves so they can speak from real, first-hand experience.

To back up that personal experience with scientific expertise, our Feed Team receives over 40 hours of intensive training every single year from veterinarians, nutritionists, vendors, and behaviorists through our very own Hollywood Feed University.

Hollywood Feed remains deeply dedicated to the communities we serve and the country we call home. Our Mississippi Made, Georgia Smoked, New York Made, Ohio Made, and many other exclusive Hollywood Feed products are sourced 100% from the United States and produced locally.

Beyond our shelves, we actively support animal welfare. We donate over 100,000 pounds of dog food and essential supplies every year to our rescue group partners, while collecting donations year-round. Additionally, each of our retail locations proudly hosts regular adoption events with local shelters and rescue groups to help pets find their forever homes.
